3rd January 2009.(Horse, Melba's, farm barn, beerenburg, Misty Hollow)

On the 3rd regrettably Jasgiz and Coight had to leave so we took the kids out on a big day for them being so good, and so we had done something as a family before the kids go back to school, it's only 2 days until Tony goes back to his course aswell. The Big Rocking Horse.
We started our day at the Big Rocking Horse, where Holly and James had a pony ride, then Tony took the 4 older kids right to the top of the big rocking horse, and Holly to the first part of the horse.

From here we went to Melba's chocolate Factory and enjoyed all the taste tests and a little bit of shopping.
On to Hahndorf Farm Barn, which the kids loved, they held baby chickens, bottle fed a lamb each, milked a cow, and played with the rabbits and Guinea pigs. We also saw a baby mouse be born which was amazing for the kids to see. Unfortunately I think this place has gone down hill and it turned my stomach to see a wild rat running around, and the animals really stunk which was unusual from our other visits here.

From here we went to Beerenburg strawberry farm to pick our own strawberries.....never again! It was $3 entry for Tony and me then $9 for a kg of strawberries, it was easier and cheaper to buy pre picked. Also the kids have a bad understanding of green and red, and just pick away....Arghhh.
We went into Hahndorf so Tony could go to the leather shop and I took the kids through Misty Hollow. We partook in a nice ice cream then decided to try Warrawong. We have never been there but have heard so much about it and the Internet says it is open until 9pm. Unfortunately after the drive there we discovered it was only open until 4pm and the lady at the counter is a rude so and so. We will never go back here thanks to her.
On to the Mongolian restaurant to see if they can fit us in, and to finish the day great. Unfortunately they were booked out, so we grabbed KFC and came home all tired out.
